          Origami Mask/Cornell

           

          This mask runs small. Finished size: 5-3/4” X 7.5”. There is also a pattern and directions for a child size mask near the end of the video.

           

          Additional larger sizes, patterns, and step-by-step directions have been created by Susan Ashdown, PhD, Emerita Professor of Fiber Science and Apparel Design at Cornell University (with expertise in fit and sewing instruction), and Andy Ruina, PhD, Design Engineer at Cornell University.

           

          Finished Sizes From Cornell Pattern:

          Normal/Medium: 6-3/4” X 8”

          Large: 7.5” X 8.5”

          Hong Kong Mask

          This is a no-sew design made of paper towels, tissues, a pipe cleaner, tape, rubber bands, and plastic. It was created by an engineering and design team in Hong Kong and was tested for effectiveness in two labs.
